It takes a while to complete a first run especially if you’re not especially skilled. I’m a forty something that always had shit coordination and I managed to complete runs after a while. My advice would be not to obsess too much on that and enjoy the various side stories unfolding between runs.

41·3 days agoThe incorrect answer on Stackoverflow can be downvoted and commented by the community. With a LLM the incorrect answer is perfectly formulated and you’re alone to recognize it. I’ll favor a large community’s advice (cultural quriks and all) over a LLM’s any day.

Technology@beehaw.org•Snap Inc blames AI as it lays off 1,000 workers
7·3 days agoImagine the unfathomable power of a company who would harness the velocity of rapid AI advancement or somesuch AND keep their employees. The world isn’t ready for such raw productivity. It would be too easy to get ahead of competition. Understandably they steer clear of such lawless behaviour. Gentlemanly sportsmanship, truly.

81·4 days agoLook. We already have a little computer in our pocket. Besides Apple can go fly a kite with their DRM audio files. Just let me own my phone.
EDIT: iTunes used to sell DRM music a long time ago and then I stopped paying attention. They’re DRM free now, my bad.

That was the joke. Data sent through UDP might be lost in transport and there’s no mechanism in the protocol to catch that fault. Whereas TCP does have a way to recover from such an event.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Lutris now being built with Claude AI, developer decides to hide it after backlashEnglish
26·6 days agoThere are massive issues with AI tech, but those are caused by our current capitalist culture, not the tools themselves. In many ways, it couldn’t have been implemented in a worse way but it was AI that bought all the RAM, it was OpenAI. It was not AI that stole copyrighted content, it was Facebook. It wasn’t AI that laid off thousands of employees, it’s deluded executives who don’t understand that this tool is an augmentation, not a replacement for humans.
Generative LLM needs to steal a gargantuan amount of work to produce unreliable yet convincing output. This is the nature of the beast. “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people” vibes.
Anyway, I was suspecting that this “issue” might come up so I’ve removed the Claude co-authorship from the commits a few days ago. So good luck figuring out what’s generated and what is not. Whether or not I use Claude is not going to change society, this requires changes at a deeper level, and we all know that nothing is going to improve with the current US administration.
So it’s fine because Trump sucks? Holy deflection, Batman!
