3·4 days agoand animals dont have souls,
Well, neither do humans, but we care about those for the most part. Also many people care quite a lot about their pets.
I dont think it should be punishable by law, and especially not on paper like a record
Well, I very much think it should be. Guess we just disagree on that point. Though I do agree there should be a mechanism to clear juvenile records of people are rehabilitated/don’t re-offend.
And maybe, just maybe it was him releasing steam which is better on an animal than human
Well, maybe next time he should try a tree or something.

4·4 days agoBut you aren’t allowed to kill animals however you like, there are a lot of laws that regulate how you’re allowed to kill them. (Though, enforcement is often lacking.)

3·4 days agoSure maybe some parent punishment, but you obviously have no idea how any criminal record, ESPECIALLY at that age affects their life FOREVER, do you?
Then you should get a law that allows the striking of juvenile offences from the permanent record.
Im not excusing it, Im just making sure you know the difference between a human and animal.
Yes, I assume he’s getting charged with animal abuse and not assault, so that is already accounted for.

4·4 days agoNot sure, but looking at some images they seem pretty small and toothless, so probably not a major threat to a teenage human.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•(This is a really stupid question) How do you know that you are not stuck in a time loop unable to wake up?
4·4 days agoYeah, but that basically means your entire life is the loop, making this just another silly idea about the afterlife. Though, not as silly as some of religious ones.
