  • There’s always at least one.

… and THIS is how Ds show their compliance when the minority.

… and THIS is how Rs show their compliance when the minority.

BoTh PaRtIeS can stop this “supermajority” nonsense at ANY TIME. But, from their point of view, that makes popular legislation too easy to pass, and they don’t want that, do they?

    Instead, they ¯\(ツ)

If memory serves this “supermajority filibuster” circus started in the 1970s. This is a parliamentary rule ONLY. It’s not law. It’s not in the constitution. It requires only a simple majority vote to erase. They pass legislation they really want without it all of the time, by making it an “exception” to the parliamentary rule (also done through simple majority vote). There are hundreds of “exceptions” to the super majority rule. This is what they want to pass.

So, this is a fucking circus that they can stop at any time. For example, Democrats could have decided “enough is enough” when Biden was in office after the monstrosity that was Trump, and used the “nuclear option” (that’s what they call it) to revert to simple majority vote to pass laws. Then, they could have passed lots of very popular legislation, a new New Deal, so to speak; 70% of American voters want universal healthcare, for example… 90% of Democrats want this.

What did the Democrats do for their own voters?

    ¯\(ツ)

Couldn’t even pass higher minimum wage.

  • This article would therefore define ANY war as genocide. (in whole or in part, killing members of the group), and it may even be a “peaceful situation”!

This would mean the Nazis were genocided by the Allies.

This would mean Japan’s treatment of Aum Shinrikyo was also a genocide

and on and on and on

In other words, it’s absolute shit.

This is why no one takes them seriously. I don’t even like China, but look at this tripe, come on. Be better

  • Where’s the nuance? Well, one side is secular, the other is Jesus flavored.

bOTh are anti-union, pro-billionaire, and anti-democracy, bOtH REFUSE to listen to even their own constituents, let alone independents, and BoTh are for sale regardless of their own proclaimed platforms.

Ds are now anti-labor (starting in the 90s with NAFTA), some workers in EASTERN EUROPE have better benefits and pay (it’s a little less than USAs minimum, but worth more). Check out the minimum benefits in Poland. We have been surpassed by Poland, even though we are fantastically wealthy in comparison. Let that sink in. That’s how anti-labor they BoTh are.

Rs are now openly anti-states’ rights, using federal law and budgets to force States to comply; since the 2000s they have increased government size and power without regard for anything that they once stood for.

… and so on. Are they clones? No. But bOtH are for sale and BoTh ignore their own party members to do what they are paid to do by often (but not always) competing billionaire interests. They aren’t even pro-USA, they are internationalist mercenaries.

    #obvious

When is an election not near?

YOU are in the minority. Independents outnumber YOU. And we vote! Do you?

Many millions of your own party don’t bother to vote. Bitch at them, clean your own filthy, nasty house; and maybe, just maybe, try being civil to those people you REQUIRE to win any election.

Oh yes, every two years, what an UNCANNY COINCIDENCE that an independent speaks six months before an election. You are truly the world’s greatest detective.

meanwhile, in reality, independents are 40% of the electorate. Ds and Rs are down to 30% each.

Perhaps you should listen to the independents, instead of insulting them? You need independents to win any election. You’re not doing yourself any favors.

This is why bOtH pArTiEs are losing voters; when will you figure it out, detective?

Biden was a horribly inadequate President, and senile besides… an embarrassing alternative. The worst Democratic President of my lifetime, and I am old.

Truly, he was an AWFUL response to Trump’s presidency, and he’s the reason that Trump was reelected.

This is all humiliating for Americans, our parties need to be dismantled

This was a joke, right? Good one

Yeah, it’s Trump, everything will be fine when he dies!

Trump could never have been elected without you hacks, your corruption made him possible. He could never be in any position of authority without decades of unbridled rot to pave the way… if he’s the monster, you’re the Dr. Frankenstein who created him.

    Good job
