I really thought there was no room for something different in the ballpark of dub techno, but I reckon Sa Pa has done it. My memory of the previous album was it alternated beatless experiments and heavy dub tech kind of beats. This brings it all together at once, for the first 3. To my mind the elements often don’t sit “right” together - and somehow it really, really works!
