  • People seem to be confused about why they thought this is a good idea, but to me this is expected.

I don’t follow what Miyamoto does much, but based on what I heard (like Chris Pratt Mario…) I feel he’s a showoff who probably wants ANY live-action movie of a Nintendo IP because it’d be cool. Zelda is the best one to qualify, maybe Metroid or Xenoblade (both of which are way less popular). They even tried more realism back with Twilight Princess.

I actually expect it’ll be more or less like the Mario movie again, an unimpressive but solid success.

I remember when I was a kid who joined a mostly American guild with Discord server in Warframe.

I was so confused when I wrote the time in 24h and the guy I was chatting with seemed genuinely uncomfortable with me writing in military jargon.

(He also believed in ghosts and I had trouble explaining the difference between additive and multiplicative multipliers to him)

  • But… Souls enemies don’t do the same thing every time, at least FromSoft’s. There’s fairly few instances where you can manipulate the RNG into one predictable attack. I WISH I could see when the boss is going to use that one stupid attack, but I can’t. I for one think Souls has one of the more* complex RPG systems (for an action game first - obviously, JRPGs like E33 beat it, but have extremely basic action) when you factor in the different weapon speeds and range, armor/roll/weight ranges, changing which attacks you can counter and how, a TON of varied magic (that vets hate because it’s fun I guess), shields (and shield pokes, my beloved), stat distribution and multiple damage types if your build allows it. Even in melee focused runs, I upgrade different weapons to change between depending on situation.

If you just take your straight sword or ultra sword and use nothing else, like the stereotypical Souls player does, then the games are pretty basic for action games. Which is probably why a lot of players think Sekiro is much better, because they focused on action only. But most From games aren’t just action, they are RPGs too.

  • I haven’t done the fascist playthrough, but I heard Kim ends that quest by telling you that you’re fucking stupid, which is good enough. He’s not gonna drop the case because his temporary partner turns out to be facist, and if he decides to trust you anyway, that’s probably by you being good otherwise.

Same with rolling his eyes over you becoming racist, but, at least you are helpful? Better than the unhelpful racist.

Shooting Cunoesse is stupid, and could be meant as Kim also being a bastard cop in the end (more than bribes), but I’m blaming the game railroading him into being with you, since he’s crucial.

  • Tokyo seems to be bigger than New York and it’s only issue with transit AFAIK is overcrowding, which is also a consequence of other things. My “USA state”-sized country can get me from one end to another in less than a day of trains too.

The issue still doesn’t sound to be size, but awful management over decades. It’s too far gone to easily fix, and it’s not the people’s fault, but it still sounds like something to take the piss out of the country for.
