Network Security Toolkit (NST) is a bootable ISO image (Live USB Flash Drive) based on Fedora 42 providing easy access to best-of-breed Open Source Network Security Applications and should run on most x86_64 systems. The main intent of developing this toolkit was to provide the security professional and network administrator with a comprehensive set of Open Source Network Security Tools. The majority of tools published in the article: Top 125 Security Tools by INSECURE.ORG are available in the toolkit. An advanced Web User Interface (WUI) is provided for system/network administration, navigation, automation, network monitoring, host geolocation, network analysis and configuration of many network and security applications found within the NST distribution. A bare-bones IPFS installer for the Raspberry Pi and other ARM-based devices. Log into your system with an administrator account, like the default OS user. For example, on the Raspberry Pi, most operating systems will default to the pi user, whereas on the Orange Pi that's going to be orangepi. You can find a lot of information on how to use IPFS on the official website. If you just want to test whether the installation was successful or not, you can list your node's peers. The IPFS daemon needs to be running in order for your IPFS node to appear online. The installer already takes care of running the daemon on system startup by default, but if you want to control that process manually, you can use the operating system's init system directly. -

Under the domain pacman.store are package mirrors provided via the IPFS-Network. If you choose this as your mirror, Pacman will download the files from a local http-proxy and the accessed files will be shared with the IPFS-Network. If you run on multiple machines in your local network IPFS will exchange the files locally rather than downloading the same file multiple times from the internet. The data is held and shared by a collaborative cluster, which is provided by volunteers. Install ipfs on each of your systems - I recommend my AUR package go-ipfs-git which uses the hardened service file. It makes sense to set the parallel downloads to two and disable the download timeout, to avoid unnecessary aborts if ipfs needs initially a bit more time to find the right peers in the network (especially on high latency internet connections). -

Summary: Bash scripts with commands to submarine folders and files on Ubuntu 20.04. The following repository contains helper scripts to allow you to submarine folders and files. Submarining is the process of obtaining and publishing an IPFS folder without publishing the files contained within the folder. This is useful for, for example, an NFT project using the OpenZeppelin ERC721 contract, where images are enumerated. The scripts set up two instances of the IPFS, one which is kept private, and one which is a public gateway out to the rest of the IPFS. The image folder is added and pinned in the private IPFS swarm, and then commands are avaialbe for copying parts but not all of the files underlying a folder to the public gateway. -

Monitor everything. OWHTTPD -- same system, only used as a light weight web server. OWFS is also ported to embedded routers, Mac OSX and Windows. Basically you can use these inexpensive little sensors and other chips with very simple wiring to sense and control the physical environment. The interface is very flexible -- everything from a web browser, to read and writing directly to the chip's "file" to integrating with your programs -- even over the internet.
