A tool to draw various charts from textual descriptions. Currently, three types of charts are supported: Message Sequence Charts, generic Graphs, and Block Diagrams, with more to be added in the future. There is a command-line version for Linux and Mac (replacing mscgen), which now sports a GUI, as well. Msc-generator allows fine control over the appearance and has a rich feature set complete with detailed documentation. On Windows, you can embed the charts in a document or presentation and simply double-click it in Office to edit them. On Linux and the Mac, a command-line version is available, and a GUI, as well. A .deb package is available starting from Debian Bookworm (currently testing) and Ubuntu Jammy Jellyfish (22.04) from the official repositories. For older releases see the Wiki. A Mac homebrew package is available.

EyeMap is a visualization and analysis tool for text reading eye movement data. It can process Unicode, proportion/non-proportion and spaced/unspaced reading materials, which supports various languages and experiment methods.

MooGraph is an utility to produce interactive dynamical graphs from statistical data. Deliberately inspired to GapMinder, it represents the evolution of multivariate data in time by means of coloured bubbles of variable sizes on an (x,y) plot.

Pear3DEngine is a modern and modular 3D development framework that lets you create professional games, simulations and more. You are free to develop your program in C + +, XML or LUA and publish it as open source software or selling it as a commercial program. The rendering engine uses internally OpenGL or DirectX optionally. The planned editor supports software development on Linux, Windows and maybe MacOS X. DirectX 9 and therefore Windows XP are currently not supported and support is not planned in the future. One goal of the Pear3DEngine Framework is to use the latest and most promising algorithms and techniques from the 3D and IT scene.

Semantics Visualizations enable understanding complex matters in an easy way. The research group “Semantics Visualization” is working on processing, enriching, and visualizing any kind of semantic data to provide visually discoverable information. Thereby processes of knowledge acquisition, human information retrieval, and decision making are supported by a variety of interactive visual representations. The developed visualizations do not only allow to investigate the masses amount of various semantic formats on Web, e.g. Linked- Data or Social Networks, they also enable the interactive illustration of structured data. With SemaVis we developed a technology that provides various perspectives on the semantics of information. By combining different visualization techniques users and enterprises are able to perceive various data and information characteristics. SemaVis enables a facilitate human access to the “Internet of Data”.

VarPlan is a web application to visualize and manage variants as tree like graph view. The approach is to keep the overview on hundreds of variants with their meta informations.

VisualSense was developed to serve as an analysis tool for textual and numerical data extracted from image analysis of artwork from different cultures and influences. It can be used for any kind of data respecting the format (specified in the README)
