My PMS may offer fewer possibilities than those systems above, but it just does what I want it to do. Additionally, writing extensions is not too hard, depending on the logic required. PHPlot is a PHP graphics class for creating charts and plots. It works with PHP5 and the PHP GD extension to produce PNG, GIF, or JPEG images. TrueType fonts (TTF) are optional, or built-in GD fonts can be used. The available plot types include: area, bars, line/points, lines, pie, points, squared, stacked-bars, and thin bar-line. Labels, tick marks, plot legend, and X/Y axes and more are all configurable. The article explains the design and the characteristics of a new open source content aggregation system. Among the features of the program, stands out a new processing engine of syndication channels, monitoring capability of information recovery in real time, the possibilities of the configuration of aggregator behavior, automatic classification of contents and new models for representation of information from relational interactive maps. On the other hand, the aggregation program, which named AXYZ, is designed to manage thousands of syndication channels of RSS format. Furthermore it also provides statistics that can be used to study the production of any producer subject and the impact of the information that published in other sources. The result that has been obtained in the research, allow to create modules capable of compare the relationship between different news or information from different sources, their degree of influence and their detection by the patterns. -

Arthropod Easy Capture (AEC) is an arthropod specific, open-source solution for handling specimen level host interactions. Developed in conjunction with the Plant Bugs Planetary Biodiversity, Tri-Tropic Interactions TCN, and Bee Database projects, AEC is designed for rapid, and accurate data capture, utilizing controlled vocabularies to maintain data quality. The application is Web-based, allowing for collaboration from multiple partners to a centralized, easily maintainable, database. The AEC community, as part of the Advancing Digitization of Biodiversity Collections (ADBC) program, is already tasked to develop the appropriate Web service for sharing data with the iDigBio data portal. This includes the application of Globally Unique Identifiers (GUIDs) for specimens, and mapping relevant data fields to DarwinCore. iDigBio is the aggregator for all of the ADBC Thematic Collection Network projects, including trophic level interaction data from the Tri-Tropic Interactions TCN. -
