(Translations needed - see Wiki for the details.) Tiny reminder with very simple user interface and no instalation, for people, who have no time to learn how to use it. Reminds once by chosen time period or repeatedly on regular time intervals basis. Elements of the interface dynamically changes to give the user instant grafical feedback of his or her action. Even after launching the reminder, all chosen settings may be dynamically changed by double clicking the icon in the system tray. NOTE: It requires Java Runtime Environment 5 or higher.

ASRemind is a desktop reminder application that links to a user's Google Calendar's entries and reminds them of upcoming activities. It also allows a user to enter notes on the various activities that a user is doing.

JenovaScheduler is a notes, to-do's, and tasks reminder application, that allows a compact management of multiple notes on a single and simple window, adding email or simple "on screen" messages reminders or notifications capabilities.

You can download it from https://www.java.com/download. * Select some program folder (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)), download SimpleCron.zip there, and unpack it (=> <ProgramFolder>\SimpleCron). * Execute (by double clicking) InstallSimpleCron.vbs (this will establish the work folder C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\SimpleCronSimpleCron, create an entry in the Startup (AutoStart) folder, and start SimpleCron) * SimpleCron will (after start) remind you to edit the crontab as soon as possible.

YSticky is a portable cross-platform reminder / sticky note application. It is very simple and its use recalls that of the real sticky notes in the following three steps: 1. create a new / take a note; 2. (re)edit it; 3. stick it. YSticky is developed in Java so needs the Java Virtual Machine (version 6 or higher) that, in the case, is very easy to download and install. It does not need installation since quickly creates and edits notes in the same directory of the executable.
