LATEST OUTTURN

An earthy patchouli forest aroma entwined with the scent of rosewater essential oil to create a soothing and relaxing aromatherapy-like atmosphere. When tasted it was almost a rude awakening with plenty of smoke, like burning lemon balm leaves or blowtorched caramelised orange and grapefruit halves topped with demerara sugar. Following the addition of water, we brewed a black tea with warm cinnamon, pungent cloves and dried blood orange peel while warming up a smoked, sweet-cured venison sausage.

Here we have a Society first. We’ve only gone and created a blended Scotch whisky! How dare we do such a thing! We opted for a high malt content at around 70%, with the remaining 30% made up of some silky old grain whiskies to add finesse and lightness. In terms of cask types, this draws from around 40% bourbon matured whiskies and 60% sherry cask matured. We do hope you enjoy our foray into the world of blended whisky.
