Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said earlier this week that he had passed a holiday truce proposal via the US, as talks to end the four-year conflict were derailed by the Middle East war.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a ceasefire with Ukraine for the duration of the Orthodox Easter holidays, the Kremlin said Thursday, after Kyiv also proposed a pause in hostilities.

    I think russia will hold to it only because it is just another day to stock up shahed supply for a larger strike, but I still think there is a symbolic use to this and Ukraine isn’t going to be sitting still per say… so I actually think this might hold but it isn’t because I trust russia/putin’s word.

    I hope this is a sign towards movement towards more negotiation, like actual negotiation not just slapping Ukraine in the face and trying to get Ukraine to give up things it cannot.
