We’re definitely going to see something like that with these. Minimap is already there in some. A TODO app will look like the quest log. Eventually when these become true AR you’ll have waypoint symbols, markers above key objects etc.
I will say it will probably be more like VR games where developers need to be a bit more subtle and people sometimes want to put all the HUD elements away to get a more immersive experience.
