"Butty" became "T-130": An American submitted a movie by two German film students to film festivals under his own name and won prizes. The duo dealt with the matter in an unusual way.

The original film can be watched on YouTube (channel belongs to one of the creators) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eJYobHx2vLo&pp=0gcJCY4Bo7VqN5tD

Unfortunately I haven’t found an english version of the documentary.

German only?! Well, that’s just linguist!

        Good one!

I guess the true reason is copyright-related. They still want to show the documentary in other countries, including the US. If an english version is available beforehand there will be legal problems.

The full documentary (German only and potentially geo-blocked) is still in available via ARD Mediathek (public broadcaster). https://www.ardmediathek.de/sendung/der-talentierte-mr-f/Y3JpZDovL21kci5kZS9zZW5kZXJlaWhlbi8yYjcwOGU3OC04YWNjLTQ4OWEtOThiNy00NmVjNGRhMTQxMzAvcHJvZ3JhbS01MzMxMzYtNTA3ODU5

In times where companies like Nintendo sue everyone and everything left and right these film makers’ approach was interesting! And wholesome!
