That’s not how doctor salaries or healthcare works.

That’s not how doctor salaries or healthcare works.

Do you have a citation for this? I’m in CA but none of the doctors I work with are Republicans. I know I just have a small sample size thats why asking for citations.
I have found its some of the nurses that are a mixed bag 😩

For those that wish to advocate:

I think it depends on what youre asking for. Some search engines, not always AI but sometimes, I ask it really quick questions and I get answers. There may be calculators, conversation tools, etc already in the search.
I.e. what is 42 days from today. What’s the release date of X game, etc.
I haven’t had the time to switch to kagi yet but I have DDG and was just too lazy to turn off their AI feature. Didnt really bother me one way it the other. If the AI search doesnt answer my question I just move onto normal links. Again, for simple inquiries it just spits out the answers for me without having to click anything.

Sorry for your downvotes! I follow a lot of FIRE (Financial Independence Retirement Early). All blogs and else have still continued to recommend the 3 fund portfolio. Which includes US stocks…
Admittedly, idk if there’s been a national shake up before in history but all financial peeps advising to stay the course… Historically, despite everything in past, its been solid.

Some businesses don’t pay for phones but agreed

This is sort of why I can’t watch it. I appreciate the realism but it felt like being back at work. I watch TV to decompress. Props to them for getting medical right though!!

Agreed. I’ve also seen a lot of hits (and sometimes runs ) in San Francisco. I haven’t seen a Waymo hit anyone yet and they have been able to navigate people parallel parking on the street. Waymos are not the best but they haven’t hit anyone and def know how to drive better than the average person in the city.

As someone who works in the bay area California. The Waymos are unfortunately better than most human drivers. It is noticeable…

Curious as I am not aware myself, what are some good open source games out there?

From the above site I posted as the other commenter already posted the Guardian version.
The 1% Workout
This bodyweight workout can be done 3-4 times per week, and is intended to help you burn fat and build strength. If any of the exercises feel too hard, make modifications and build up to them.
Bodyweight squats – 8-10 reps
Push-ups (or knee-push ups) – 5-8 reps
Plank – hold for 15 seconds
Jumping Jacks – 15 reps
Bodyweight Reverse Lunges – 6 reps per leg
Lying Hip Raise (double or single leg) – 10 reps
How to Do it
Cycle through the exercises sequentially, resting and repeating as prescribed based on your fitness level.
Beginners: Perform exercises 1-6 in order, resting 30 seconds between each. This is one circuit. Perform a total of 4 circuits, resting 90 seconds between each. This workout should take you approximately 15 minutes.
Intermediate: Add 10 seconds to the plank. Perform exercises 1-6 in order, resting 20 seconds between each. This is one circuit. Perform a total of 5 circuits, resting 75-90 seconds between each. This workout should take you approximately 18 minutes.
Advanced: Add 20 seconds to the plank. Perform exercises 1-6 in order, resting 20 seconds between each. This is one circuit. Perform a total of 6 circuits, resting 75 seconds between each. This workout should take you approximately 22 minutes.
Elite: Add 3-5 reps per exercise and 30 seconds to the plank. Perform exercises 1-6 in order, resting 10 seconds between each. This is one circuit. Perform a total of 6 circuits, resting 45 seconds between each. This workout should take you approximately 18 minutes.

It’s essentially the 1%/15 minute work out. 15 minutes is literally 1% of your day and I used to do this!

Agreed. The technology is still new, evolving, or not there yet. I was at an aquarium only last month. They were showing me a machine where there are only 7 available in the US so far. The scientist only got it like 3 days before I spoke to her so she hadnt used it yet but it measures concentration of microplastics in the ocean and is specific enough to tell you what different microplastics are there and their likely sources. Really cool but this science is super new and in its infancy.

Oh no. Sorry! Yes my Lemmy has been having issues.

Thinking of picking this up myself. Looks solid

I’m not a JD fan but I don’t really quite understand how and why she is representing China. She is Chinese American yes but per Olympic rules, she has to have citizenship in the country she is representing but it doesnt seem like she does?? China does not permit dual citizenship?
Whats to stop other countries then from bribing other top athletes to represent them?

Oh. Yeah… Coworker issues can be universal no matter what industry lol. But yes! Continue to be there to listen to her and support her. Youre a great partner for asking the question! Therapy wouldn’t hurt but its a very personal decision.

Well, I would ask her first how she is feeling. Assess, dont assume. I manage ED staff and honestly they’re all okay unless there is a super super depressing case or a very difficult patient.
Otherwise, they’re fine and their work day is very normal for them. There’s even a few that thrive in it.
So unless her rant is about stress, maybe I wouldn’t worry. Lots of people in the hospital just like talking about their day or venting. If it is about stress or something more, there’s a lot of resources and interventions she can try/tap into: EAP, therapy, trying a different area in the hospital, etc.
Lion King on Tour was last one I saw. It was awesome.
