5·7 days agoFire intensity varies a lot, as does community risk. You can protect a town from 12-inch flames. You can’t from 120-foot flames. And removing ladder fuels can change which you get, as well as what post-fire recovery looks like and whether you do something like change from boreal forest to chaparral
