This is a true supergroup! Transcendent on a technical level, just listen to the vibes and trumpet melding like Parker/Gillespie on Holotype, and the synchronisation of 'impossible' drum/guitar rhythms. But the complexity is just a tool and unlocks astonishing solos and discoveries when the players stretch out. It sounds to me like Weiss's compositions and approach set everyone up into a zone of absolute commitment and concentrated focus to produce yet another peak in his work.
