A windowed/full-screen countdown timer.
A windowed / full-screen countdown timer. Colour and font size changes are used as warnings. Progress-bar gives a glance at the time stream. Three different modes are available: - time left; - time passed; - ordinary clock. When the time is over several possibilities are available: - to show the defined message; - to continue count the time; - to launch another application; - to close the count-down timer. Useful for speech, lecture or presentation timing. Colour / font / time limits can be changed using settings window and hot-keys. To change current time use the mouse wheel. By clicking on progress-bar, the timer mode is toggled. -

SPINA
Structure parameter inference approach for endocrine feedback control
SPINA is software for the rapid, reliable and accurate determination of constant structure parameters of endocrine feedback control systems. It is a class of static function tests that require nothing more than steady-state concentrations of hormones or metabolites obtained in vivo. The first version of this cybernetic approach had been developed for the evaluation of the functional status of the thyroid gland, i.e. thyroid's secretory capacity (gain of thyroid, GT or SPINA-GT) and sum activity of peripheral deiodinases (GD or SPINA-GD). A second version has been established for insulin-glucose homeostasis. It delivers the secretory capacity of pancreatic beta cells (SPINA-GBeta), an estimate for the insulin receptor amplification (SPINA-GR) and a static disposition index as a measure for the loop gain of the feedback loop (SPINA-DI). Both implementations of SPINA have been validated in more than 50 clinical studies based on large cohorts. -

Acoustic Simulation Library for Frequency and Time Domain Simulations.
ART is a flexible simulation framework for wind instruments. It includes a growing library of modelling elements. So far bore discontinuities, branches, tone holes, cylindrical and conical tubes, Bessel horns and bent tubes are available for frequency domain modelling. In the time domain generic bidirectional propagation elements, scattering elements, fractional delays, convolution with reflection functions and general z-domain networks are available and can be described using MuParserX expressions. Cylindrical and conical ducts can also be defined based on their geometry. Available models and their parameters can be enumerated and combined to form simulators for complex acoustical structures. Parameters can be specified symbolically by expressions containing other parameter values or global variables. Dependencies between parameters are resolved at run time. However, MuParserX expressions are compiled at design time. Zero-delay loops are detected and reported. -

ePnR
ePnR is an IC block standard cell placement & routing tool
ePnR is a simple Integrated Circuit (IC) block standard cell placement & routing tool. ePnR currently supports only circuit blocks using equal height standard cells arranged in one or more channels of user configurable length. Standard cells are described in a simple text based library (compliant with eLogSim). Placement follows initially the cell call order in the SPICE like circuit input netlist. However, a placement optimization, aiming at minimum weighted accumulated wire length, by simulated annealing is available. Routing consists of channel routing as first step. If un-routed connections are left, Maze routing can (optionally) be applied. ePnR does not guarantee completely finished routing. However, un-routed connections will be left with rubberband connections and marked start and end points for subsequent manual routing using a third party layout editor. ePnR outputs in CIF 2.0 and GDS stream format readable by e.g. the free KLayout editor. -

A cross-platform text analysis program written in Python and Free Pascal/Lazarus which scans a whole text file (in plain text, HTML, EPUB, or ODT formats) and ranks all used words according to frequency, performing a quantitative analysis of the text using Shannon-Weaver information statistic and Zipf power law function. It counts words, sentences, chars, spaces, and syllables.
