A low-level Node.js module that takes a bunch of SVG files, optimizes them, and bakes them into SVG sprites of several types along with suitable stylesheet resources (e.g. CSS, Sass, LESS, Stylus, etc.) It comes with a set of Mustache templates for creating stylesheets in good ol' CSS or one of the major pre-processor formats (Sass, Less and Stylus). Tweaking the templates or even adding your own custom output format is really easy, just as switching on the generation of an HTML example document along with your sprite. For an up-to-date list of browsers supporting SVG in general respectively SVG fragment identifiers in particular. Being a low-level library with support for Node.js streams, svg-sprite doesn't take on the part of accessing the file system (i.e. reading the source SVGs from and writing the sprites and CSS files to disk). -

Simple extensive tar-like archive format with indexing
Asar is a simple extensive archive format, it works like tar that concatenates all files together without compression while having random access support. You can pass in a transform option, which is a function, that either returns nothing or a stream. Transform. The latter will be used on files that will be in the .asar file to transform them. There is also an unofficial grunt plugin to generate asar archives at bwin/grunt-asar. Asar uses Pickle to safely serialize binary value to file, there is also a node.js binding of Pickle class. The header_size and header are serialized with Pickle class, and header_size's Pickle object is 8 bytes. offset and size record the information to read the file from the archive, the offset starts from 0 so you have to manually add the size of header_size and header to the offset to get the real offset of the file. -

Included in the report is a reference doc that explains the importance of the audit and how to fix the problem areas, which you can use to improve the web app or web page. Lighthouse can be integrated directly into the Chrome DevTools with its own panel. To run it, you would simply have to select the Lighthouse panel and click on "Generate report". It can also be run from the command line, or as a Node module. -
