I love when my own community decides my gender expression for me like we all share the same viewpoints and struggles. But a few people are going to reply ‘this is so me frfr’ and ‘I feel personally attacked’ so I get to feel even more alienated
I’m usually in the company of friends who hear me laugh out of nowhere and ask me to say what it was, thankfully. But I otherwise wouldn’t explain. It’s often a very mean joke at someone’s expense (mine included), dark, or absolutely terribly unfunny to everyone except me

I am very saddened by the general attitude people come at about making new friends with age, on any side of the discussion. I’ve got like 30 friends right now (active, some friends are still friends but show up once a year or something), and I started with half that in my 20s. It has been growing slowly. Yeah some people fell out (Trump related more than anything else) but like, I just made 7 new friends in the last few years and it wasn’t hard. It was just being open to meeting new kinds of people.
By the way: I’m an introvert
I used to think it was making video games. And then my dreams were strangled by the game company I worked for at 21 and they made me watch. I also got sexually assaulted at work.

You’re simply not paying attention, because you don’t have to. Not to be harsh. I went from male to female and how I’m treated is night and day. You’ve never tried to see how the other side lives, and when you heard stories that went against your experiences you dismissed them like your mind is trying to do right now.
Why does it happen? Nurture. History. Patriarchy. I could blame a lot of things. It’s mostly that men never get treated the way they treat women.

I feel like, if there’s stuff happening out there that you haven’t heard of today, it’s because you’re not looking. We’re assaulted daily by what everybody is up to across the world. This tweet tried really hard to be deep and profound and instead, to me, kind of sounds like somebody who is just generally out of touch and got completely blown away to learn that desk bikes exist and kids love Minecraft.

I’d move in a heartbeat
I know people really want to enjoy these games and I wish them luck. But…
I have thousands of other games I can play that don’t have invasive DRM. Enough I might never need to purchase another game in my lifetime if I felt like it. And I’m happy being away from Windows and their bullshit. It’s hardly even a sacrifice. But good luck to the hacker crackers.
