Trust, I am well aware. Part of a conservation degree is economics, because conservation directly has to argue in economic terms in order to persuade governments and stakeholders for support of passing legislation.
Unfortunately, the powers that be seem to have stopped caring entirely, ceasing to even performatively care. They want it all and they don’t wish to negotiate anymore.

As someone who has a degree in wildlife conservation and has always been my dream to work for the Forest Services and have a career protecting what is left of this nation’s natural wonder.
And they are doing this explicitly for the purposes of letting the logging and oil industry rape these natural wonders for fucking profit. For fake, imaginary fucking social value of which they already possess an obscene amount.
I cannot describe my anger and loathing.

No, don’t think they dropped anything. They speak facts.

What is happening with this administration is exposing the great flaw of electoralism that anarchists and other leftists have been warning about for nearly a century.
That if we do not restructure our society, our politics and our culture leave us manipulatable to where these corrupt individuals could systematically consolidate power and out themselves or their allies into positions of power.
This is the result of not a decade but over a century of political and systemic manipulation by the owning-class.
Living in the US during this time has radicalized me so much against the system.

I’m absolutely sorry but to hear that the concept of a dowry is not elementary knowledge sounds absurd. It is a matrimonial tradition that has spanned numerous cultures across the globe and has played important role in the political negotiations across history.
It is kinda base level knowledge for having an understanding of historical contexts.
Idk, I’m with the other commenter that it is surprising to hear of anyone who doesn’t know about it, unless you’re, like, still a teenager in middle/high school.

Seriously, because it deserves reiterating, fuck American culture. Everything that is good that has come out of this country is because of its counter-culture doing things in spite of it.

Because of their actions, the government is negotiating relief packages for people in key economic sectors being affected by the price gouging. So, “idiots” is a pretty weird way of saying “protestors who actually understand how to leverage their collective power to force the system’s hand to respect their demands”

Did you read the article? The fuel stations are running out because of blockades by protests. They have fuel. Hell, they are nearly to the point of needing to turn away ships because they are nearing capacity.
The protests are because of fuel pricing being gouged and impacting the livelihoods of these people.
These actions have forced the government’s hand at providing relief packages to people in need, especially those in key economic sectors such as food production, public transit, and emergency services.
The owning-class can go without making obscene profits off of an international crisis. That’s all that the people are asking for.
Fuck Cars and Fuck Lawns

The classist politicians of the neoliberalist establishment that is the Democratic Party, of which Harris is a part of. You think she is doing this alone? You think these actions are not planned and discussed among themselves before being announced publicly in these little PR stunts? Are you naive to politics?

This is a concept that a lot of people struggle with. They lose sight of the bigger picture and simply react to what’s right in front of them.
This is why having class consciousness is important. It puts everything into perspective.

It just really fucking sucks for people like me in food deserts where the options are either a dollar general with an incredibly limited selection or half our drive into the nearest town for Walmart.
It also sucks extra for me cause original Doritos and jalapeno cheddar dip is one of my autistic comfort foods. I’ve yet to find a suitable replacement for either.

You would be screwed because of the same system of oppression that the one burning down the place of work was suffering from which pushed them to that action.
It’s called solidarity and class consciousness.
Destroying the work place is praxis.
The tism will not let me forget that the plan is entirely self imposed and optional.
It absolutely sucks not being able to self motivate.

It’s called “having solidarity” mate.
Props for having the patience to pick apart their argument and explain the flaw of it.
I have long since lost the patience to engage with these kinds of arguments anymore with the amount of people who just refuse to argue in good faith.

The decision of a company to not pay a living wage has forced a man’s hand to fight back against his own oppression. Unfortunately others have been caught in the crossfire.
Let’s place the blame where it belongs.
I’m from the US so I interpreted it the best I could. If others closer to the issue could provide more nuance it would be much appreciated.
