  • that’s an actually interesting idea. here’s my take on this:

    • When two pawns get gridlocked, roll a d4.
    • After that amount of rounds, they become red queens.
    • At the end of each player’s turn, they have to select a red queen for moving.
    • *Optional rule: the player instead rolls a d20 and chooses from the number which red queen will move.
    • The selected red queen’s direction is determined by a d8. if the move is not possible, roll again.
    • The red queen will move as far as possible in that direction, capturing the first piece in the path without capturing pawns.
    • At the start of each player’s turn, any of their pawns that are adjacent to a red queen will be converted into a red queen.

  • i used to use cacht, but after updating to kde plasma 6.6 it would freeze after i put the correct login and password. thankfully it has snapshots, so i could just not update it for a while.

i waited for 6.6.1, and instead of freezing it just closed and reopened the login page. 6.6.2 went back to freexing forever.

so i gave up, and installed base arch to see if that’d work, and it did! i also found out that archinstall is a thing! (i had installed arch manually many times a while back, and the clock time always broke) i did break it once by not configing limine snapper correctly, but now it’s great, and feels basically equal to cachy (except things don’t break and there isn’t a bunch of unecessary programs installed)

  • so basically a casual gamemode? i always thought there was already one and people just didn’t tell me…

(i’ve played LoL twice, couldn’t understand it either of those times, and i didn’t like the pressure of it being so competitive, so i just never got into it)
