Wow, Iran is bringing suffering to the whole world now. Do you mean that they attack Israel in retaliation to its genocide?

Maybe look inward to the Nazi German regime which is bankrolling a literal genocide first.

Iranians are suffering from global sanctions because their government refuses to bow down for Israel and the Fascists backing them.

  • I just took the effort to read part of your spam buzzword article until this part which completely omitted Western sanctions and thus I am once again proven correct that you did nothing more than concern troll with irrelevant imperialist spam propaganda which exists to paint a one-sided narrative without placing any blame on the West which is literally the cause for their economic struggles.

The most recent protests were initially triggered by the dramatic collapse of Iran’s national currency and the severe deterioration of living conditions. The rapid devaluation of the rial, combined with soaring inflation and widespread poverty, has pushed large segments of the population beyond economic survival. These conditions have led many to conclude that the crisis is not temporary or reformable, but structural and inseparable from the existing system of power.

Unlike earlier episodes, the current protests reflect a broader level of collective awareness. Demonstrations are no longer confined to specific cities or social groups; instead, they have spread simultaneously across multiple regions, involving diverse segments of society. Economic grievances have quickly transformed into explicitly political demands, with protesters openly calling for the end of authoritarian rule and the dismantling of the Islamic Republic.

  • We could also consider showing lemmy.world again

Possibly. Dumping everyone at lemmy.zip is a possibility too. lemmy.wtf is is a bit too on the nose.

I would avoid using instances without “lemmy” in the name like reddthat, it was very confusing to me when I started out.

I would consider removing the topic selection, because there are some which barely narrow it down (technology, general or politics each show a few dozen instances)

I think I agree with that, at least for now. The only topic instance with real specific activity in that list is probably blahaj for the LGBTQ.

The new front page looks much better and cleaner. Not sure about the “Apps” though, people need to create an account first so. Maybe “Instance selector”? Also I’d call it “Mobile Apps” instead, “Apps” is a bit vague.

I still plead for removing both buttons and directly showing the “instance selector” in the middle area, with the “See all instances” showing in the top bar only. Maybe slightly more prominently than the other top bar icons

    link aggregator rant

The definition used by Reddit currently is also possible

that would make Lemmy a “forum and (social) news aggregation” platform. “Link-aggregation” sounds much to vague to me, as if Lemmy is a link-scraping bot. But I’ve gone on that rant in the past.

One of the buttons talks about “instances” and the other one about “servers in your new design”. Not sure what the difference there is
