it’s open source now, but it wasn’t when microsoft aggressively lobbied all of europe to adopt it in the early noughts.
like, why would you start a new project in dotnet today unless you need it to interface with the microsoft stack somehow?

not easy in orgs with thousands of devs and decades of software, unfortunately

i answered your question before you even asked it. the charitable read would be to not assume people want you dead because of a hypothetical scenario. you could absolutely have asked for clarification if you felt unsafe but you didn’t. why?
and by the way, the opposite was also true: someone asked you what one of your posts meant because you used a nonexistent word, and you dismissed them.

trying to find a job that doesn’t involve microsoft products right now (mostly because i have no experience with the stack) and it is rough. all the government agencies around are completely dependent on dotnet.
i don’t know, why didn’t you?
yeah, you need to do the thing you want others to do: use the most charitable interpretation of what people say.

that doesn’t even look like him.
no, it was a hypothetical scenario. you reacted as if they thought you’d already done it, but that wasn’t what they said at all.
well the entire thing were someone had their bike stolen, took their car instead, and got in a traffic accident for starters. that wasn’t even about you but you reacted as if it was.
if you feel you were threatened, what was it specifically that did it?
i’m still asking if you considered the possibility before jumping to the conclusion “everyone here is mentally ill”.

sounds like my man was dissociating hard

tell me you don’t understand sales tax without telling me you don’t understand sales tax
i think this is the first occidental map i’ve ever seen
i read the thread. you posted a hypothetical, others responded with hypotheticals. at no point were you threatened or wished death upon.
considering that you admit in that thread that you don’t understand some of the idioms used, is it possible you misunderstood their meaning?
i don’t think he knows what he’s talking about in that area
hm, 50 at idle is a bit high but the load temps are fine. maybe tweak the fan curve a bit.
hah, since you actually got a game running i think you’re fine. the cpu usually starts throttling before any damage is done, so the thing you’ll notice if something is wrong is that performance decreases after some play time.
the main thing to look for is if you get a massive spike in temp the instant you put the cpu under load. if you see temps climb over a few seconds that means the thermal mass of the cooler is wicking the heat away properly. another thing to check is whether changing the cpu fan speed changes how fast the cpu cools down.
if your temp doesn’t level out under load, or increases during idle, then your cooler is too small.
if you’re nervous anyway (as i was), thermal pads have gotten really good.
i like how you sorted yourself into the camp shouting “dumb fuck” at people. very apt.
it is! especially when checking temps to see if you fucked up the thermal paste.
