Privacy@lemmy.ml•What temp or proxy email services can bypass filters made to detect temp emails?
3·19 hours agoIt’s a cat and mouse game, since spammers will leverage this to work around bans or having to subscribe with phone or SMS verification on the major email providers.
These providers often end up on list such as https://github.com/disposable-email-domains/disposable-email-domains
Same for Alberta, yet both are still part of Canada.

My dogs weight about 20lbs and doesn’t take a lot of space on our king size bed so he sleeps with us.
Reste que c’est crissement dégueulasse de parler de même à quelqu’un d’autre, policier/ère ou pas et que ça devrait pas être toléré ou impunis socialement.
Abstention from Canada? wtf…

Age-verification and age-estimation methods
(2) Before prescribing any age-verification or age-estimation method under paragraph (1)(b), the Governor in Council must ensure that the method
(a) is highly effective;they’ll bullshit their way through that one, no way you can make that “highly effective”. It’s all political posturing with the “protect our children” pretext, with the goal of eroding privacy without accomplishing the initial goal whatsoever.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•How Can Governments Pay Open Source Maintainers?
20·27 days agoI think a good compromise is to include an open source maintenance fee on projects when used in a corporate or for-profit environment. Another option I like is to offer business support as a subscription.
It doesn’t need to be super-expensive, but at least that would ensure some continuity for development.
