Political Memes@lemmy.world•at least I got to be smug on the internet
42·3 days agoHere’s an analogy: If I offer you a glass of lemonade with 50% urine and another glass with 10% urine, are you happy to drink the latter because of the difference?
If doing nothing means I’m going to be force fed the lemonade with 50% urine, then I would prefer the latter option. I wouldn’t be happy about it, but it’s the better outcome.
Israel didn’t want to stop bombing Libanon, so Iran keep the strait closed until they stop.
I’m more afraid about Bibi stirring up the beehive. I don’t think they’re so keen on ending the war.
I feel like I can’t bear myself to care about it. It’s cool and all, but meh.

The truth is that they were all humans just like us. They were just born in a different age.

His entire stick was to debate college kids. Mostly by using cheap debate tactics.
As soon he engaged with someone with a bit of debating experience he was always wiped off the floor.

Ask Experienced Devs@programming.dev•Has your company lost its mind with AI, too?
4·8 days agoI’m lucky I’m in a company that hasn’t gone far deep into the AI rabbit hole. They have set up Claude Code for us and encourage us to use it if we want, but that’s about it.

Programming@programming.dev•Your Engineers Aren't Lazy, Your Codebase Is Punishing Them
8·11 days agoThe answer is to say “We will try our best, but this is very ambitious.”
If there’s some urgent feature request coming from sales then that means the Thursday deadline is in the contract and it’s already signed.

Judging by your recent post history, it looks like you’re doing a good job at attracting positive engagement. Many upvotes and comments on your posts. Of course, with that you also attract some negative engagement, but that’s inevitable when posting about politics.
You’re useful.
