  • He boxed himself with the ultimatum, and I like to think decided not to do it (although during those generals also sounds like perhaps military refused orders).

So instead he made up case fire and called it a victory, he even tries to put himself on Iranian side by claiming they will share profit with him (or maybe he hopes Iran will see this as a way of getting him off their backs)

  • It looks like we are getting there, but those issues aren’t really as big issues as you think.

You still try to fit EV into ICE mold, where you need to go to special places called gas stations to fuel it. Electricity is ubiquitous and most of the time you will charge your car at your home during night, having “tank” full every day. You almost forget about things called “refueling”.

As for price “fuel” is already cheaper, and with how trump fucked up energy market it will be even cheaper (relatively).

But yeah there are massive improvements in charging times and as there’s more EVs produced the price will get even lower.

When ICE cars were first created they were also impractical compared to horses.

So my understanding is that normally the enzymes to process lactose are available in newborns.

If we follow the design Mother Nature intended, as soon as we start eating solid foods we stop drinking milk and or body stops producing those enzymes making us effectively lactose intolerant.

But since humans do drink milk the body continues to produce those enzymes.

Some people still lose that that ability and then there are also ones who never had them. That makes them lactose intolerant.

Also being lactose intolerant doesn’t kill you, you just can’t break it up, so you will have upset stomach, fart etc.

I believe there is a lactose free milk for newborns for those scenarios.

My understanding is that there’s lactose in all milk so probably it applies too.

Also besides being lactose intolerant, you can also be allergic to milk, which is much more serious, but that can vary on kind of a milk.

  • He is doing what putin asks. Putin loves creating dilemmas.

The ideal (for putin) scenario would be to have Europe to decide between getting oil from Russia (this is why trump lifted sanctions) or get involved in Middle East.

Both of those would lead to decreased support for Ukraine, first one he could threaten to cut oil off they didn’t, the second would be very unpopular with public and Russia would exploit isolationist tendencies.

I’m actually glad that it looks like Ukraine is bombing Baltic terminals and Europe realized that greeting involved in the mess trump started will make things even worse.

And yeah there are people saying “how can trump new helping Russia when he attacked Venezuela and Iran who are Russian allies” the answer to it is to look if those actions helped putin or hurt putin.

In Venezuela he removed Maduro but kept the old Russian friendly government.

Iran it massively helped. The oil prices spiked when previously Russia was selling at a loss, by helping Iran Russia still is seen as ally and now US is dragged to the same war Russia sights with Ukraine (ideally he would want rest of NATO be dragged there too).

  • Ok, but since you didn’t know that means you didn’t do it before you retired.

Also why does it bother you that someone might get some help for caring for people? Also the example that you gave about elderly parents would be treated the same way.

The reason employers do this is because they rather give that time to the employee rather than have them quit, because any normal person will put family first.
