krystal cannon i'd heard of stephen steinbrink because of his posts with other artists i like, and during quarantine i noticed he was performing on instagram live sometimes. i didn't know any of his music then, but when he played "staring at a rothko" i felt like i was hearing something really special. i'm so glad that i found his music, and that there's so much i can dig through. thank u!! Favorite track: Staring at a Rothko.

about

All songs written, performed and recorded by Stephen Steinbrink at the McKinley St. House in Phoenix, AZ.

These songs were in part informed and inspired by "Sig Alert" by Emperor X, A Year From Monday by John Cage, and the Phoenix experimental music group Sungsang.

These songs live in the flawed infrastructure of Phoenix and in the hope that it can someday adjust.

Cover painting by Andy Steinbrink

For Richard Gimbel.
