    Except for the fact is just movie bullshit. The real Rex had amazing eye views, even better than modern eagles.

        Not completely made up. Based on a brain cast for a T-Rex that was discovered. They had really good vision and smell, don’t know about better than an eagle though.

          Size doesn’t always equal better. Awhile back it was discovered that mantis shrimp, despite having many more types of receptors in their eyes than humans, completely lack color interpolation and therefor can only see about 12 colors and shades total instead of the broad range that humans see.

      I’ve never even understood the idea. Even if it was just a brain filter that would mean constantly slamming into rocks/trees

        No, it makes sense, just have different responses for navigating than you do for hunting. Trees don’t move and lions and bears aren’t out there trying to maul them.

        Okay, some bears do, but thats besides the point.
