more than 100 major European banks, asset managers, insurers and pension funds increased their combined stake in the company by more than 60% in the last year. This is according to data compiled by an international investigation coordinated by Follow The Money, a platform for independent journalism, and in which EL PAÍS participated.
Should this not be prohibited and considered a critical threat for Europe’s very safety?
Yes!
Using their services should be prohibited. Owning shares is morally questionable but not really a safety risk?
Palantir really is just the apple of big data analytics. Their service is very nice and its overpriced. They dont have a technological moat. There is no reason why europe cant build this themselves they have incredible engineering talent available.
So much for the “anti-US” optics 😑
These are private companies investing in another private company. It’s like me buying ETFs for S&P 500. I don’t think this changes the “anti-US” optics of the continent in any way. For example they say two Spanish banks have stakes in Palantir: BBVA and Santander. Does this mean the whole Spain is “pro-US” now?
Good point.
Is there a petition against it or something? Should be illegal.
Europe is going to be controlled by the US while everybody is distracted by the Russian threat.
