You’ll have to come up with proofs for all problems though, but I guess that would be possibly by trying to say “<some math field> is required for the proof” over and over while getting more specific to narrow it down.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Here we have a rare glimpse of the mother Allen key nursing her young.English
3·5 days agoTIL “Inbus” is not really equivalent to Innensechskant, as it refers to a company that produces allen keys and has just become synonymous with it in German, like “Tempo” has for tissues.
EDIT: Turns out it’s the same in English, Allen is a company and the more generic term is hex key.
At this point I wouldn’t even be surprised when the full, unredacted files are released by a cat walking across Trump’s laptop while he’s asleep.
I read that as “It’s Slopism Saturday” and thought we’re doing AI now
Also the social safety net and availability of (mental) healthcare, it’s not like Europe doesn’t have some glaring problems in that regard but holy shit is it better than whatever the US is doing.

World News@lemmy.world•Everything is a political weapon since Trump’s re-election, says Germany’s ex-economy ministerEnglish
35·1 month agoHabeck is easily the best politician Germany has had in the last couple decades, not perfect but fuck all I want is him as Chancellor for 16 years :(
I guess his problem might be that he tries to argue and discuss issues in a rational way, which is not the style in this time.

31·1 month agoWhat the fuck are bonus stars. Why do they expire sometimes. And I can get fractions of them? Double star days??? Holy hell I this is the most overly convoluted bonus program I’ve ever seen, my local coffee place gives you a stamp on your stamp card and when you’ve collected 10 you get a free coffee.

41·1 month agoPlayed a couple of rounds so far, one in the nicely implemented multiplayer mode. If you liked the original you’ll like this too. I’m also really happy for such a successful release of a Godot game.

I don’t really read much, this is my first book since a couple years since I wanted something to do while on a plane. I really like it though, the court intrigue and attempts to consolidate power are interesting if you can keep up with all the different characters, and there are many. The author also uses quite a lot of not-so-common words, so as a non-native speaker you’ll have to infer a bit from context but I didn’t find it too bad.
Would be my guess as well, though I’m unsure about the CDU/CSU getting more good stuff done than other less shitty parties. The last administration did pretty well mostly thanks to the Greens even though the media kept bashing it to no end, and I do not want to imagine a world with a CxU/SPD coalition during the chaos after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Also I think The Left is far less likely to get a significant share of votes than the Greens.

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Sorry, can't do scarves.English
171·2 months agoExactly, the first request is so vague that you can just implement it in a way that doesn’t require any complicated programming magic, but a scarf has the implicit expectation to swing around and not intersect with the player or itself. Or worse, expect the player to summon a demon wearing a scarf!
(Still a good joke though)

It’s been a while since I saw it in the wild and it’s obvious from context you didn’t mean it like that, but the triple parentheses can have an interesting meaning you might want to be aware of.

If you are lucky and it works that way. Maybe you simply cannot speak at all if you are not absolutely sure that a statement is correct.
