Oh my his finally. The only fediverse platform I use is Lemmy because finding interesting stuff and communities here is so easy. Mastodon is a pain in the ass by comparison, and starter packs really helped me find some cool accounts at the beginning of Bluesky.

I’ve been playing the VCMI version of HOMM3 (on my iPad out of all places) and it’s so much fun again. This one looks cool but the UI is a real turn off for me. Completely lacks the vibes of the previous games imo.

I used to play it quite a bit in beta and early release, and then checked back in in 2021 when they had already done a lot of brand partnerships. You’re right on the dot. They completely removed the game’s identity. I found it funny you mention the golf carts, because when I played it, the first match my team of randoms landed next to some cars (from rocket league I think) and just spent the entire game doing stunts to earn points. There was zero interaction with the core gameplay loop. It was crazy.

Also the low player count isn’t bad cause you play in 3 person teams so it’s 3v3v3. You just need 9 people to play a game.

It’s quite enjoyable but the rave reviews really set my expectations too high and I ended up disappointed. Great movie by modern Hollywood standards though!

Big theaters usually have 30 mins of ads but smaller ones will be much shorter usually. This does depend per location though. Some screenings can have 0 ads too if you’re going to a very underground theatre.
