  • I have broken through on DMT but I don’t think I’ve ever broken through on salvia.

I promise you salvia is weirder.

Firstly DMT is a serotonergic psychedelic. It acts on the same receptors as psilocybin and (if I’m not mistaken) LSD. It’s euphoric, your body may freak out because it thinks it’s dying as it separates from your consciousness temporarily, but ultimately you still physically feel good when you are aware of your physical being.

Salvia is an atypical hallucinogen. It’s generally not considered a proper (or at least classic) psychedelic like DMT, shrooms, mescaline, LSD, etc, or even newer substances like 2C-B. It’s also not considered a deliriant like datura or DPH. It is a secret third thing. It’s a hallucinogenic compound which acts on opioid receptors but is entirely non-addictive. It allegedly has a reverse tolerance, meaning the more you use it over time, the more it hits you. I’ve heard it described as “dysphoric”, so opposite of euphoric, but I would strongly disagree with that - it doesn’t feel bad. I’d almost want to call it “aphoric”, which isn’t a real word lol so may not be linguistically correct, but essentially it doesn’t feel, period. You don’t feel like you have a body.

DMT feels like you’re leaving your body but your consciousness remains a distinct vessel that is sort of witnessing the grandeur of reality’s architecture (at least at the dose I experienced); salvia feels like your consciousness is dissolving into the world around you along with your body.

And I haven’t even properly broken through! I’ve felt immobile and had full-on hallucinations but I still don’t feel it was a real breakthrough. And I’m not particularly in a rush to do so either, even though I have plenty of salvia on hand lol

  • Disagree, sort of.

Salvia isn’t unpleasant if that’s what you mean… it’s also not particularly pleasant. It’s very remarkable in its absolute neutrality imo. It is an experience you can choose to have.

But also worth mentioning that everyone here (including me) has probably only smoked it. Indigenous users in Oaxaca kind of press the leaves against their gums which makes for a more chill and gradual experience. The particular shaman (I think that would be her title?) shown in the Hamilton’s Pharmacopia episode on salvia said that salvia does not like being exposed to fire, I think she may have even said that the goddess or spirit considers it disrespectful.

I’m obviously going off memory here so watch the episode if you’re interested in salvia. It’s very good. If you (like most people) don’t have access to fresh salvia leaves, you can find tinctures online which are probably the closest approximation (assuming it’s legal in your area, but it generally is).

  • Simple math and logic dictate that at that point in time ANY ACTION other than voting for Harris was supporting Trump.

Logically, it must then follow that ANY ACTION other than voting for Trump was supporting Harris.

Did I also vote Marianne Williamson, Cenk Uygur, and Cornell West by voting for Jill Stein? Or just Trump and Harris? I’m trying to figure out the limits to this new infinite-voting glitch we discovered together.

What? I did vote. For Jill Stein.

Voting for democrats categorically is not “attempting to stop fascism” any more than supporting the Weimar Republic was “attempting to stop Nazism”. They’re weak, corrupt, feckless, and ineffectual. Their corporate-owned neoliberal politics and suppression of leftwing populism paves the way for fascism’s inevitable rise through rightwing populism.

Didn’t read the rest of whatever you said there. I’m not really interested in addressing your Blue MAGA meltdown or reading about how you’re sad that people give you shit for supporting an avowed genocidaire.

You may view Dems as being an obviously-better option than Republicans. I do not, so if you do not convince me otherwise, I literally could not care less if your party continues losing.

Run better candidates if you want to win. That’s how democracies work, right?

  • The same thing that would happen if Harris won: more death. I imagine Hamas also knows they were not going to win a military victory. The victory to be had for them is, I imagine, a moral one: exposing the moral vacuum at the heart of the American Empire (so Israel included). And in that, they have achieved a massive victory without a doubt.

It’s disgusting that any Palestinian was killed regardless of administration, but that’s the pragmatic reality until Israel ceases to exist. So the question has to be how to achieve that, and I think they’ve made massive strides towards it. And as for America, it’s dying all on its own.

Capitalists are not vulnerable to political pressure from the left because capitalism is inherently contrary to the demands of real leftists. So, my answer to your second question is: neither. And you don’t even have to take my word for it: my evidence is Biden refusing to end political aid to Israel and Harris pleading “no change” from that genocidal policy. I mean for fucks sake, Trump even pretended to reschedule cannabis before Biden did!

  • The list of known carcinogens is quite short. That is mostly because it is difficult to conduct studies with a large enough sample to be sure that something is a carcinogen with high statistical reliability.

Benzene is certainly one of them, and it’s present in cannabis smoke (well, all smoke from burned plant matter, so cannabis included).

Otherwise I’m not sure what your point is. They wouldn’t need to identify specific compounds to establish a strong correlative relationship between lung cancer and cannabis. Such a relationship has never been established, and not for lack of trying.

  • Yes, America inspired the Nazis, then both America and the Nazis inspired the Zionazis. I totally agree that the American Empire is the greatest sponsor of global terror and the most violent entity currently, or perhaps ever, existing on our planet. I also agree that Israel is effectively just one colonial outpost of that American Empire. Nothing I said was contrary to that, and words aren’t “buzzwords” just because you’re uneducated on their actual meaning.

  • Okay, so the left caused your candidate to lose. Aside from the fact that Holocaust Harris would’ve lost even if she received every single third party vote except RFK’s, even including Libertarians who are usually more right-leaning, sure, let’s go with that narrative anyway.

The left is the reason your candidate lost, because the left did not find your candidate worth voting for.

Sounds like you should listen to the demands of the left if you want to stop losing then. And we demand an end to all aid to genocidal Israel and no corporate campaign donors.

Otherwise, you can keep losing. You may view Dems as being an obviously-better option than Republicans. I do not, so if you do not convince me otherwise, I literally could not care less if your party continues losing.

Run better candidates if you want to win. That’s how democracies work, right?
