I hope they verified well. There‘s a hole industry of scammers in this sector.

They managed to do it. However they had to keep repairing it because of bad weather. In the end it wasn’t as efficient as simply driving trucks in through the border.
The pier was only really useful for a while where internal distribution inside the Gaza Strip was a big issue. At times the aid was stacking up inside the border, but local truck drivers didn’t want to or couldn’t deliver to some areas because of truck robberies, ongoing fighting and rubble blocking streets.

What Argentina had before was pretty bad as well.
He might have found a different source of money if not from Trump.
All three seem to be happy. Good for them.
Get feedback. Review. Adapt. Try again. Repeat until success.
Most chicks (and dudes) would prefer someone with money compared to one of equal attractiveness and broke. It’s part of the whole package.
There’s something like enough money, where having more doesn’t increase your freedom or happiness that much anymore. At some point you’re just getting the custom gold plated luxury version of a thing. A Cartier watch tells the time same as a Citizen.
For physical attraction it’s similar. There’s a level of beautiful enough, after which other factor might matter more. An 8/10 with great sex life is better than a 10/10 prude starfish.
You don’t need that much. Some money is certainly helpful to have though.
If you go to a poor country to find suitable twins and marry them in a country that allows polygamy, you only need modest wealth.
The first step is to level up your attraction levels. Status, money, fame, power, and let’s not forget physical attraction.

I pay that much for 500 Mbit on cable Internet. Sadly it has carrier grade NAT.

You don’t even need capitalism for a free market. It can be worker owned cooperatives competing.

Exactly. Free Market is a term that’s poorly understood by both the left and the right.

Exactly. In this case it was db0 users, who had the door shut in front of them and wanted to fight back.
It‘s totally fine for Lemmy instances to restrict speech in whatever way they like. That’s kind of the point of the fediverse.
The more restrictions an instance has, the less free speech it allows.
The right to free speech is about the government restricting speech. Human groups like Lemmy instances and communities always restrict speech in one way or another, as in manners, what topics and opinions are deemed appropriate, etc. That‘s by necessity.
There’s also a constant push and pull going on about what’s considered acceptable and not acceptable speech in every group. The political overtone window is an example of that.
Let’s be specific to db0 in this context. Defederating feddit.org isn’t about regulating speech on db0, it’s a political power move. It‘s trying to influence speech regulation on feddit.org itself and indiscriminately bans feddit.org users from db0, regardless of what they have ever said. This is an attempt to discredit speech, that’s considered main stream in Germany. It also affects users from Germany the most, again indiscriminately.
Feddit.org didn’t demand any restriction on speech on other servers on the other hand. They simply have rules db0 doesn’t like.
So this move by db0 is directly aimed against free speech of others, and their ability to regulate speech as they deem appropriate. So characterizing db0 as pro free speech is not a good fit.
To db0‘s credit, their community !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com where people can complain about moderation policies around the fediverse is pro free speech. It highlights arbitrary application of rules, abuse of mod power, makes unwritten rules visible. It’s great that it exists. Certainly one of the best communities on the fediverse.

I needed to hear that. Thank you

8 GB is okay now for many use cases.
M1 Mac with 16GB of RAM
A better choice for sure.
Thank you for providing examples. Some are fair enough.
file explorer has no way to access the root directory
It has several ways. From the menu bar: > Go to… > Folder > /
By default Finder no longer shows your main drive in the sidebar. You can easily enable that in Finder settings though.
You can also navigate the folder hierarchy up until you are at root. cmd + up is the keyboard shortcut for that. You can also command + click the icon in the window title bar and then select the folder upwards in the hierarchy you want to navigate to.
There are several other ways to do this as well.
reboot
A very common way to resolve problems on all operating systems.
update breaks all local domains
Weird.
release after release the experience would worsen and usability would degrade
I agree that macOS experience has worsened over the last couple of years. It’s still better than Linux and windows overall.
Agriculture is only a less than 3% of the Spanish economy.
