All that mega mergers create is:
- layoffs
- higher prices
- less competition
- “too big to fail” bailouts
- less innovation
And in the case of media mergers:
- poorer quality
- more censorship

No, they’re describing Regan republicans. Don’t you remember how he deregulated everything? Told everyone “government is the problem”? And that if we didn’t tax the rich, the wealth would “trickle down” to the average American?
To this day there are still people who believe in this bullshit.

3·6 days agoHow does a power station create 8000 jobs? That sounds like ten times or more manpower it ordinarily takes to run a nuclear power station. Even the nei lobbying website says, “Each nuclear power plant employs 500 to 800 workers.”
4·6 days agoPa looks like he stepped off the cover of GQ magazine. I fear this is going to be a Hallmark-style movie adaptation from the looks of the trailer. The books are so much deeper than that, and give you a real sense of the danger and hardships that pioneer people went through.
