On April 23, 2025, Cuervo Cuervo will release “La Luna”, the first single from their upcoming album titled Las Cartas. “La Luna” had its inception in the pandemic when the duo found themselves trapped in Buenos Aires. It began with Ben playing some chords on guitar and coming up with a glockenspiel melody. With that foundation in place, the guitar was translated to synthesizer and Agustin entered with the ronroco. Then came years of polishing and touring, gradually morphing it into what you hear now, an iconic song for Cuervo Cuervo as a live act, and a multi-part epic that spans many moods, layered with recordings from many different times. La Luna, as both Tarot Card and Song, speaks to the dualities present in all of us - moving from dark to light, heavy to gentle, and from sea to land to sky, and back again.


The complete album, Las Cartas, will be released on all platforms on June 25, 2024


Cuervo Cuervo is the project of Argentinian ronroco master Agustin Ganem and American producer Benjamin Hill. The two met in Bacalar, Mexico in 2019 and have been an unstoppable force ever since. Their project unifies Latin American and North American folk traditions, weaving new tapestries of sound. They have released music through Fertíl Discos, Resueno, Ritmos del Sur, and Cosmovisión, among others, with an album forthcoming with Magic Movement and Platoon. They have toured Mexico, Europe, and the United States extensively, recently making an 2024 appearance at Bahidora Festival in February and Merida Fest in 2025, and are now preparing to embark on a second summer tour in Europe in 2025, having made major festival appearances at Fusion in Germany and Ozora in Hungary, among many others, in 2024.
