1. Overview

This site (thepromptbench.com) is operated by ai51 UG (haftungsbeschraenkt). We aim to collect as little personal data as technically possible.

2. Hosting

Cloudflare Pages: This site is hosted by Cloudflare Inc. (San Francisco, USA). Connection metadata is processed in server log files under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for operational and security purposes.

3. Analytics & cookies

This site does not use any analytics or tracking cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, Plausible, Cloudflare Web Analytics or any equivalent. No tracking pixels, no third-party widgets, no advertising networks.

Cloudflare, as our hosting provider, may set strictly-necessary infrastructure cookies (e.g. __cf_bm for bot management). These are required for the site to function and are exempt from consent under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.

4. Third-country transfers

Data processed by Cloudflare is transferred to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) and the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

5. User comments

If you submit a comment, we process the information you provide so the comment can be reviewed and, if approved, published.

  • Display name — shown publicly next to your comment. You are free to use a pseudonym.
  • Email address — stored but never published. We use it only to contact you about your comment (for example, regarding moderation).
  • Comment text — published next to your display name after editorial review.
  • Technical metadata — the time of submission and your IP address, processed to prevent spam and abuse.

Legal basis: your consent to publish the comment and display name (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in preventing spam and keeping the site secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

No publication without review: every comment is checked manually before it appears. We may decline or remove any comment at our discretion.

Processors: comments are stored and processed on our behalf by Convex, Inc. (USA), our backend provider. To review submissions, a notification containing the comment, display name, email and submission time is sent to our editorial team through a private bot on Telegram (operated by Telegram Messenger Inc.). Data transferred to the United States is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) and the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

Retention: comments that remain pending or are rejected, together with the email address attached to them, are deleted on a rolling basis. Published comments remain until you ask us to remove them.

Your choices: you can ask us to correct or delete your comment and the associated data at any time — email [email protected].

6. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Contact [email protected].

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
