In 2025, the European Commission launched the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of the European Automotive Industry - an inclusive, collaborative initiative aimed at addressing the sector’s key challenges. Building on this dialogue, the Commission presented an Action Plan, outlining concrete measures to strengthen the industry’s competitiveness, sustainability, and innovation, ensuring a resilient and future-proof European automotive sector.

In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the EU stands in solidarity with Ukraine. The EU is acting swiftly and decisively to put an end to Russia’s aggression by imposing wide-ranging sanctions and measures.
