With gold leafs being “accessible” this time around you can have gold plated guillotines to make the class feel more at ease with the familiar surroundings and whatnot.

Will there be AI branding on the sides of it too?

(It will also be like a lil help for the future historians & students.)

Death penalty opponents regard the death penalty as inhumane and criticize it for its irreversibility. They argue also that capital punishment lacks deterrent effect, or has a brutalization effect, discriminates against minorities and the poor, and that it encourages a “culture of violence”. There are many organizations worldwide, such as Amnesty International, and country-specific, such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), whose main purpose includes abolition of the death penalty.

It’s a short hand to holding the monsters on charge accountable. I don’t think those in charge care about any sort of law. You have the make the point visceral

Rarely has a quotation with a specific context felt so generalisable for such a duration of time

Look back in 80-year blocks to 1946, 1866, and 1786, etc and you’ll see a repeated pattern where the established order collapses and the monsters fill the vacuum.

What makes today different is that tech has created a post-truth environment that dissolves shared reality, making it much harder to kill the monsters and build a consensus than it was previously.

Particularly apt this weekend, with the post-WW2 rules based international order being fed to the wood chipper.
