I’m getting into more complex lipstick techniques lately. I used some of that non-transfer liquid lipstick with some lip gloss and it came out so stunningly, lasted the entire day eating / drinking. Usually there will be some harsh fading on the inner bottom lip, but with the gloss on it blended out and looked less noticeable.
In general I’ve gotten a lot better at technique lately, learning a lot from drag artists and GRWM videos.
I’ve learned how to not get that creasing / transfering eyeliner / eyeshadow thing by using more powder in general and misting water to set it.
also not related to makeup, but I bleached my eyebrows and it’s lasted soooo long, and I love it because I don’t really have to do anything but shape them up. It also looks cool with makeup on 😁
What are some makeup techniques or fashion changes (like bleached eyebrows) you have done recently?
I’ve been getting into NYXs lip stainers. I just leave them on for about 10 minutes, then I wipe them off and my lips stay colored all day
ive been wanting to try some of those… which shades are your favorite? ☺️
bubblegum burst and berry thirsty

the first one leaves a stain that’s slightly darker than my natural lip color (my go-to for work), and the second leaves a bright red stain. neither one really works for me as a lip gloss though. they’re like… too sticky? and they’re very pigmented so it’s easy to make a mess and get them all over your teeth.
I haven’t been messing with makeup recently due to no time. I’m very curious about your lipstick technique, though. What are some non-transfer liquid lipsticks and how does one use them?
the one I am using is a matte finish old formula kvd “everlasting lipstick” (expired) but they do sell stuff like “NYX Professional Makeup Lip Lingerie XXL Matte Liquid Lipstick” that is basically the same for much cheaper. It goes on liquidy and then you gotta wait for it to dry completely, about a minute or so. I use it in conjunction with lipliner and blend it in a little bit. Once its dry you can put shimmery powder or lipgloss ontop, but is not nessecary.
also helps if your lips are moisturized / exfoliated beforehand because it will show any chappedness.
There is also this oldschool technique where you put on a lipstick or concealer, then you add powder or something to set it. Then add the lipstick again. This is supposed to help the lipstick last a little longer. You can layer different colors as well.
Some people put on the lipstick, blot, lipstick, then finish with a small amount of powder to set. It depends on the finish you want, sometimes I use this method with shimmer powder.
This is extremely helpful! Lip looks have been something I’ve been wanting to get into but there’s so much to learn. I keep my lips fairly moisturized but curious what you’re doing to exfoliate them?
i’m glad to hear that! ☺️ I haven’t done a lot of lip stuff until recently, the gloss is a new addition.
In the past I used sugar and olive oil to scrub my lips with a cloth, it worked pretty well! Back then, I remember it was also popular to use a toothbrush to exfoliate the lips. These days I scrub with soap on a damp washcloth, & use aquaphor to prevent cracking.
