This is making me idly wonder if a uranium glass fishtank (like a proper sized one) is hypothetically viable. Like, yes, the fish would be constantly exposed, but there’s generally water between them and the glass and to my understanding the radiation from uranium glass isnt that strong to begin with, would the average water separation provide enough shielding? Come to think of it, I’m not sure if fish are any more or less vulnerable to radiation, compared to humans. Would the fact they live underwater mean they’d have evolved less of a tolerance?
Water’s density makes it an excellent protector here. Uranium glass has low radiation to begin with. Between the two, I’d put money on the fish being fine.
