I agree with you that Terry Pratchett is so much better. But it’s not very comparable. Harry Potter lives from the comfy feeling of a magical boarding school and the classic “chosen one” thing. It’s easy reading and draws a very clear imagery in the minds of the readers. The disc world is a bit more… Abstract I guess?
So I’d rather pirate Harry Potter if it’s something that interests you. And definitely also read Terry Pratchett, simply because it is better.

Ich hab es tatsächlich geschafft für mehrere Jahre keinen Tabak anzurühren, aber wenn das Leben um eine herum einbricht, dann fällt jemand mit ADHS schnell in alte Gewohnheiten zurück. Und es ist zum Kotzen. Aber für nen kurzen Moment fühlt sich der Kopf normal an, wenn man eine Zigarette raucht. Das gleiche gilt auch für andere Drogen. Es ist für jemanden wie mich deutlich schwieriger von sowas loszukommen als für andere. Ich finde das nicht fair.

While Germany seems nice in comparison to poor countries, our neighboring countries do many things a lot better than we do. Denmark has a functioning social security system, Netherlands have actual liveable cities, Norway is rich and laid back, Sweden is great, Spain is currently the progressive inspiration for Europe, etc.
Germany is fucking boring, full of Nazis, falling apart due to neglected maintenance of Infrastructure over the course of the past 30-40 years, suffers from garbage conservative politics, is smothered by shit tons of bureaucracy, etc. I fully understand why young people want to leave. Maybe driving a car when riding a bicycle could do the trick isn’t the best use. Last week Thursday I took the bike to work. 10 km. No big deal, it’s an E-Bike and it takes me 25 minutes. I’ve never seen so many cars on the road and I thought these people couldn’t afford fuel? This is in a small city of 90k people by the way. Anyone who lives in this city can take a bicycle and would have to travel less than I do, no matter where they are. I literally come from outside the city.
