Unfortunately it didn’t help that much. Thanks to the total incompetence of all mainstream parties in Germany, whose members usually just care about their personal income instead of Germany doing well, AFD managed finally to overtake all parties. I expect them to be in a coalition in one of the next two federal elections.

This one hits deep. One of my first more complicated projects was a driver for a device that counted a lot of values. Imagine an energy meter.
At the beginning I thought about writing code to create my own type since I was limited to uint32 as the biggest on board type. To spare some work I quickly decided to use a float type for the first time without thinking much about it (I usually use fixed point integers for everyday work)
Way into the project I thought about what happens, when the actual value is gigantic and I try to add a very small number. After thinking about it I realized that nothing happens. So my counter would stop working. I changed everything and never used a floating point number again in my life I 🤣
I am regularly in Kaiserslautern and seeing all the transport planes landing every couple of minutes has a huge gschmäckle
Imagine: You are the first human approaching the moon for a landing since 50+ years. Just a couple of seconds before touchdown the PC starts rebooting because an engineer clicked remind me later on earth and the PC registered that nobody moved the mouse or pressed a key for more than 3 nanoseconds so the user is surely AFK and has definitely nothing important going on so let’s close all open documents and reboot 🤷🏻♂️

Bei uns muss es einfach mal knallen. Anders kommen wir da nicht mehr raus. Wir kriegen einfach nix auf die Kette. Da ist sie die Energie. Wir haben an sonnigen Tagen Überschüsse ohne Ende. Und statt in Netzausbau und Batterien zu investieren, tun die Betreiber alles damit wir weiterhin abhängig von endlichen und oft aus dem Ausland bezogenen Rohstoffen bleiben. Dabei ist es doch als Netzbetreiber super, dass ich größtenteils passive Technik ausbauen und Instandhalten muss und sich die Allgemeinheit um einen nicht unerheblichen Teil der Erzeugung kümmert. Immer noch besser als ganze Kraftwerke dauerhaft Instandhalten zu müssen. Kann mir keiner erzählen dass das auf Dauer unrentabel ist.
Ich warte z.B. seit November auf die Eintragung meiner Anlage. Keine Ahnung was da so lange dauert.
Ja, das ganze rechnet sich prinzipiell und ich habe erst gar nicht mit der Vergütung gerechnet. Mir ging es um Strom und Gaseinsparungen. Seit Ende Februar kann ich aktuell fast durchgehend mit Heizlüftern heizen. Das war z.B. eine einfache Maßnahme die sich innerhalb von ca. 40 Tagen amortisiert. So verheize ich kein Gas, tue der Umwelt was gutes und spare dabei 9 Cent pro kWh die ich elektrisch heize.
Da ich aber Nix zu verschenken habe, würde ich aus Prinzip nichts einspeisen wenn ich keine Gegenleistung dafür erhalte. Erst recht nicht wenn die Netzbetreiber den Strom danach auch noch teuer weiterverkaufen. Warum soll ich meine Technik unter Volllast laufen lassen und einen höheren Verschleiß hinnehmen? Welchen Anreiz habe ich?

Sometimes I dream about a nonprofit mega platform (like a web search with social media and a shopping platform included) that clearly communicates it‘s users that it will share all the knowledge with everybody that is interested in it for free in a privacy respecting way. Making this information basically worthless. Just to fuck with google and all the big players in the ad business.
A platform that is financed by donations and ads that have some sort of fair use pricing where small advertisers are even allowed to advertise for free (but the usage of ads is only allowed to compensate money that is missing to keep everything operational) A platform where small players can sell their stuff for free. A platform with social media, without any algorithms. Fuck it, let‘s even include a video platform and some sort of business platform just to make it complete.
As I said it must be a nonprofit. So it would basically have no intention to earn more than enough money to keep everything operational, making it the cheapest option for everybody and destroying all the mega corps out there that just can’t get squeezed enough revenue out of it’s users. This way we would be brought back to the golden ages of the internet 10-20 years ago.
Bin froh das ich es habe. Motorrad fahren macht mir persönlich viel mehr Spaß und bringt mich wesentlich entspannter ans Ziel als mein Auto. Es hat eine meditative Wirkung auf mich.
Ich habe aber aufgehört schnelle Motorräder zu fahren. Hole mir meinen Spaß nun eher off road auf den Routen der TET.
Rückblickend muss ich zugeben war ich wohl auch mal zeitweise auf diesem Bild. Nur nicht ganz so extrem das ich akut gefährdet war.

I think the origin was 100% racist. But most people just used the words without thinking about the origin.
When I was s kid, they had racist names. It was just the name like a bicycle is called a bicycle. You just used the name. The realization came later when I was older and knew that the words can also be used as a slur.
To be fair though, Germany changed a lot since the 90s. Racism was way worse in the 90s/00s than now.
Dickmann‘s is a Brand. The general name is „Schaumkuss“ or „Schokoschaumkuss“. They had pretty racist names in the past and taste great
