Yeah, I work in tech and the number of times I hear that I’ll have no job soon is too high. Also, my peers are just so proud about outsourcing their thinking. Not to mention the juniors just plugging stuff into AI and when asked, just forward the question to AI with an AI response.
I get too “middle-ground” too quickly with this stuff due to just how much pushback I get.

I’ve been in a mental institution but not a psych ward … it’s highly discouraged “hooking” up and they check in on us often. There’s in and out patients but inpatients … like I was checked up on quite often.

This reminds me of when Keith Olbermann had a chat with Sean Hannity (or someone like that). Keith, for those that don’t know, was a sports commentator that became a left-leaning political commentator and Hannity is a right-wing hack on Fox News. Keith spoke about having a private chat with Hannity and he was taken aback by how little Hannity actually believed in his stuff. It was all performative.
I think we also got a peak of that during the Dominion lawsuit as well.
