True. It would be nice to see some more variety. I know we can filter posts or manage our feeds but there isn’t as much activity outside of news and politics. Seems like anyways.

Very unfortunate it has come to this but zero communication might be the biggest slap in the face. I’m glad the work from the developer was such high quality over the years (from Reddit to here) and I do not regret spending money on this app, including the absurd pricing for the Lemmy version … but for the app to be abandoned without any communication feels bad man.

At very least just say something. Oh well. I hope they are doing well and are healthy at least. There are bigger things in life than stuff like this. But in the future, I hope developers in general can just say if they are going to abandon an app or not.

I have used Stoat for awhile. It works. I think they’ve been bombarded with new signups so it’s kind of taking their system down. But hopefully they get back up and running. It’s a great opportunity for them right now.
