still have no idea how they will implement this, with phones that can be rooted or running something like lineageOS or others.
But in any case, I am glad I am not from the US.

Damn, if i lived there, I would at least bug the local councillors to consider the amount of kids and older folks killed per year, locally.
so interesting how birds react to their reflection!

Not surprising . . . . .and this still does nothing to help domestic network device production in the US, since Netgear outsources their manufacturing to Taiwan.
so cool, love PlantMilk

went on sale on steam when I bought it for $5, played the whole thing with my daughter. Amazing game!

Microslop - since 2014, initiating slow but controlled flight into terrain!

with the fam: alcohol
with friends: LSD or weed
I actually did so much drugs back in 2016, that I feel like just being happy is a treat. I guess I overdid it? But yeah, strictly as a treat, psyches are the only way to go for me. I like feeling alive, and full of my childhood optimism.

Right but this is about 1 dev using claude for lutris because he’s apparently going through a rough time in his life right now.
This one guy isnt to blame for the problems with the AI industry

So, it’s no longer being hidden, what’s the problem now? I just opened lutris, I don’t notice any crazy change. And the developer said this, “It was tremendously helpful in helping me catch up with everything I wasn’t able to do last year because of health issues / depression.”, so I don’t see some huge issue here.
AI is going to be everywhere, whether we like it or not. There are millions of active daily users on all various LLM platforms, are open source projects supposed to be immune from this? Of course not!
AI is already very limited to it’s context window, and tokens, so it’s not some magic pill that will make all your code perfect. I understand the AI backlash but people need to chill, it’s not some magic genie that will transform anything you throw at it, it’s still pretty limited.

I know eveything in France is not sunshine and rainbows, but come on, cheap high speed internet, fantastic pedestrian infrastructure, great social welfare program, and now linux being adopted by the government?
France seems pretty cool to me

And this is why I use an android based ereader. Something as simple as displaying words on a screen shouldn’t be held back by the will of any company.

Thats the kicker. I really want to move away from Youtube. Many are fine with just blocking ads, but its not rocket science to host a video over the internet.
Peertube seems like it can one day be great, but its currently just not popular enough, and its sad, because everyone talks about ditching google, except when it comes to youtube.

Funny, i’m also 20 years into linux, but i still love to tinker, and im slowly teaching my child how to use linux. I’m literally installing arch right now as I type this. I love customizing the OS, and ive built a post OS install script to handle all the software and driver stuff.

Very true, I began my own linux journey, almost 20 years ago (fuck I feel old) with Ubuntu, not for any other reason other than it being the only linux distro that had any mass appeal, relatively speaking. But it was a perfect introduction to linux.
Debain-based distros are the way to go for linux newbs, but i’m sure some tech savvy people might like an arch based distro instead. All in all, experimentation, especially when you’re young and not obligated to work or a wife and kids, is great for providing enough time to learn and grow in the linux world.

would WPA3 and pre-shared keys not be enough? If every endpoint is scanning for malware, using host based firewalls, monitoring access logs and activity, it could be possible no?

You know, i think i might learn how to set up ad hoc networks to prepare for this sort of thing. I know its essentially wartime there now, but without internet, its harder to transmit the truth from the eyes of the civilians. Fucking sucks whats happening there. Repressive government, but filled with people who simply want a life free of the conflict, the endless battles, various ethnic groups simply wanting freedom from those who have invaded and partitioned their people.
This cant end well. . .

Sad how a self-centered group of people can make the world a colder place, with impunity.

As if decades of political instability and corruption weren’t hell enough, mr orange man says he’ll really show them!
If that’s the case, I would say he isn’t listening well enough. He should step back from politics altogether, but his pockets are too well greased.
But you have a point, people give him credit for the little good he does, and remain blind to everything else. Sounds a lot more like love than education.
