Eraser 03:18 video
Rearrange the room again I Still can’t erase the mark you left here Walk around and let it sink in Nothing’s the same and it never will be Digging through sealed envelopes and dead batteries Left them in the kitchen sink I can’t get rid of it Talked you off a ledge one too many times Never said enough Plead and I beg You stood on the edge Dug my nails into your skin Tried to reel it in Thought that I could keep you here with me for always Stuck to me I’m clinging on I’m clinging on Never said enough Digging through sealed envelopes and dead batteries Left them in the kitchen sink I can’t get rid of it Talked you off a ledge one too many times Never said enough

Fantasy 02:48
Last Wednesday you told me Stupidity’s unholy Oblivion can’t hold me I’m blistered you control me I would’ve done anything you told me Another cigarette you sold me I begged you I begged you to love me Blissfully not carefully Everything you said to me Inhale it but don’t go It’s make believe you buried me Blank there’s nothing left of me Last time you told me I was all you’d ever need I can be your fantasy Sink your teeth in And break me down to pieces I felt you creep in Taught me how to think I need it Shove it down my throat You chose me to change I begged you I begged you to love me Naturally I let you take me Annihilate me Beg me break me please It’s make believe you buried me Blank there’s nothing left of me Last time you told me I was all you’d ever need I can’t be your fantasy It’s make believe you buried me Blank there’s nothing left of me Last time you told me I was all you’d ever need I can’t be your fantasy

was + when 02:20
She saw the man who fell to earth And dyed her hair red She spoke in was and when Never again Laid it all out on the floor Not enough asking for more Blue eyed blank stare tore through me I love you better believe Memorized her body like I had to learn her lines I’ll never be the one Tell me who she’s thinking of She picked the wrong ones they never stick A land built for a man Mama lied to her face again So I said Not enough asking for more Laid it all out on the floor Blank stare blue eyes tore through me I love you better believe Memorized her body like I had to learn her lines I’ll never be the one Tell me who she’s thinking of

Cauterize 02:51
Wake me up I cried out Chained up lost a screw It’s like I wanna lose Used to tell me I’m graceful Lied about that too Like you always do Cut it off Again again again again You keep coming back Tried and riding true Bang my head Against the wall against the wall Limitless at best Nothing left to do Losing sleep now bleed out Lying on your couch Not that you want me now Bending backwards for no one Blame it all on you You know that it’s not true I saw that picture that time passed Wanted you to know I’m no better alone Always trying I’m lying Bandaid make up call Thought I could have it all Cut it off Again again again again You keep coming back Tried and riding true Bang my head Against the wall against the wall Limitless at best Nothing left to do

Tangle 02:52
You called me up Gravity brought me down again Knocked on my door Fell through the floor I don’t want anyone but you To watch me sleep alone in my room Everyone said I can’t undo All that I said before I knew Last of my firsts Saved me from my endless thirst Always picked the wrong ones Told you to take me on Tangled up in you The rest left in my rearview Mirror in the hall Is this the one you want I don’t want anyone but you To sleep with me alone in our room Everyone said you can’t undo All that you said before you knew I don’t want anyone but you To watch me sleep alone in my room Everyone said I can’t undo All that I said before I knew I don’t want anyone but you To watch me sleep alone in my room Everyone said I can’t undo All that I said before I knew

Red lines and tattered sheets Scraped and bloodied knees Thank yous between my teeth Used to be carefree I’ve been bought and sold No place to call home Guess we’ll never know Floating through the streets Running over me Blown in plastic breeze How I’m meant to be Grabbed ahold of me Woke me from my dreams See through skin she cleaned But I’m not the one she needs ‘Cause I don’t want a home Bleached and bent out cold Guess we’ll never know Undercover pixel lover Meet me halfway Liminal minimal lover Don’t be that way Shotgun in my bag I guess I know I’ll use it I guess I know I’ll use it

about

Tuffie’s self-titled debut EP is a thunderous mix of emo, post-hardcore, shoegaze, and power pop. Throughout the tracklist, the Minneapolis band’s loud-rock sound rallies around the ethereal melodies and lyrics of vocalist Ava Levy, a tension which reflects the emotional themes of the music; the contradictory combination of reflective melancholy and energetic catharsis.

Drawing together influences from bands like Drug Church, Draa, Slow Pulp, and Momma, Tuffie offers a new take on the alternative rock of past and present, unafraid to tread the line between indie and hardcore lineages. Having found their home at Sunday Drive records, the band is ready to introduce themselves with their first six songs. Front to back, the EP is a complete statement—but for the band, it’s only the beginning.
