Favorite track: Embers Against the Storm.

Ziri It's hard to find the words for how brilliant this is. I love this album so much and I'm going to remember it forever. It honestly does not get much better than this.

1.
The people of the Boreal Lands carry with them centuries of unwritten heritage and knowledge. Hardened by the cold but still welcoming, every community works its lands, sings its sagas and honors its traditions.
2.
It is believed among the most septentrional villages that with the arrival of the northern lights, the veil of winter narrows between this realm and the other side. And it is said that sometimes it’s possible to glimpse in the distance the souls of those who have already departed, crossing the snowy fields.
3.
The Great Glacier is a dangerous region. Its surface is impossible to navigate, but it guards ancient paths and passages under abysses of ice in perpetual motion. The changing topography makes this place an icy labyrinth, but the path is safe for those who know the way: eleven stone bridges, ancient and mysterious, remaining immovable over the ice and mist.
4.
One of the most widespread traditions of this region is the Rummburr Carnival. Its name references a mythical beast from Boreal folklore, a creature semi-human in appearance, with enormous horns and dense fur covering its entire body. Villagers of all ages dress in costumes and masks, light large bonfires and dance frantically under the starry night.
5.
Inside a metal censer, the Undying Embers maintain their eternal glow throughout the journey. The Fire Bearers leave a handful of these embers at each settlement they visit in exchange for food and shelter. Their warmth persists through even the harshest storms and coldest frosts, thanks to the mysterious artifact and the ancient rites performed by its carriers.
6.
Some villages in this frozen region fall to the harshest winters. Ryma, an ancient city in the Purple Tundra, is said to have been deserted overnight without a single witness. Many travelers seek shelter within its empty walls as they pass through the region, but no one stays more than a night in this place marked by misfortune.
7.
The Rime Pathways are long, and the Fire Bearers rarely rest until spring comes. Their ancient magic sweeps the Boreal Lands winter after winter, and each village bids farewell to the old nomad women in hopes of welcoming them back next winter.

about

With the first snowflakes of the darkening season, the Fire Bearers prepare their knapsacks and satchels for the upcoming journey. The Undying Embers, burning with ancient magick, must be taken to the towns and settlements across the Boreal Lands before the scourge of winter arrives.
