ALIENBALTAN IS A NEW PRODUCER TAKING ON THE SOUNDS OF JUMPSTYLE AND NEWSTYLE WITH AN APPROACH FOCUSED ON CRUNCHY, ANALOG-DISTORTION BASED SOUNDS THAT REALLY BRING OUT THE MONSTER WITHIN ANY JUMPER.
FROM EARLY ON IN THEIR TIME AS A PRODUCER, DJ, AND ORGANIZER OF DIY RAVES AND SHOWS IN THE DELAWARE AND NYC AREA THROUGH THEIR COLLECTIVE, ANDROMEDA.M4A, ALIENBALTAN HAS BEEN PUSHING THE JUMP OFFENSIVE WITH POWER.

I first met ALIENBALTAN when they were still based in Delaware, they were telling me about how they were doing a little bit of work to maintain a little bit of a friendly status at a church, which would allow them and their crew, ANDROMEDA, to throw raves at night. They were actively
involved in a lot of local scenes, going to raves between Delaware, Philadelphia, and NYC, and had a very involved sense of taking the time to listen to shit going on in every space, seeing what was happening, and trying to bring those sounds to their raves. I eventually ended up speaking to them for a while, and they were telling me about their love for jumpstyle, newstyle, etc, talking to me about UJF and its releases, and of course, mentioning Kaiju Soup, and the fact that their names were based on the same series.

That level of involvement where you actively see what's happening in the spaces around you, how you want to pay respect to those things, how you want to build upon them, that brings a special sort of uniqueness to your sound. You can make some music that really stands out.

The first track of ALIENBALTAN's I had heard was a very early rough demo of theirs from a few months ago called "hipfire," a gabber track with incredibly rough, noisy, distorted mixing, it was really angsty, they were screaming their vox on it. The qualities of the sounds you hear on this album are very obviously present in that track:
The kicks have this very crunchy texture, which I later learned was in part to the fact that they would process their music by making analog feedback loops with a Behringer mixer. They're very short and punchy, and there's a lot of subtle changes in different white noise, and lower volume sounds to create a chaotic energy. Later on, they had mentioned their work on this tape to Jess, and we were both pretty stoked on it.

This whole album shows a well-versed knowledge in the sounds of jumpstyle, newstyle, and gabber, with a totally new, and personal approach to the genres that is done tastefully with plenty of chaos. All boxed up in a complete package like an action-figure, with a destructive and powerful creature-focused alias. - XXHARDBIT3S, UJF CO-RUNNER

SO BE SURE TO CHECK IT OUT!
