If you need a simple icon, I’ve done some graphic design before for the loops community on Lemmy as well as others. If you DM me, let me know what you’d like, I’d be happy to help out, no charge.

I do get that. Less things in the car means less things that can break which yea, I’m all for to a point. I just can’t take heat, I need the ac man.
And I would love to have an electric car if I drove less than 100 miles a day, if chargers were more common, if all chargers used the same common charger port and connector, and if I had a house go charge if at. Also if swaping batteries wasnt a nightmare. That should be the easiest thing to do on an electric car aside from maintaining motors or swapping other common components.

I want a car that doesnt guzzle gas, blows hot and cold and is relatively easy to maintain.
Every other “luxury” feature like touch screens, heated seats, backup cams, I don’t necessarily need. I do like having a backup camera though. My 2015 Toyota Camry does everything I need it to, aside from the stupid touchscreen and the obnoxious way it plays whatever was last playing when my phone connects. Thankfully it still has physical buttons and dials for things.
I like my flint 2 router from GL.Inet. Uses openwrt on the back end but has a more normal interface in the frontend with the back end still accessible if you want it.
And you can install whatever firmware you want.
Haha hes a very happy kitty. He loves being touched in almost every way.

That gave me a good laugh. Gnome doesnt feel right to me at all man. To each his own.
But yea, sicko fr

According to an LTT video that broke down thier revenue about 11 months ago, 45% of your premium sub is divided among creators that you watch.
Not sure how thats calculated, but it seems to be a pretty sizable chunk according to LTT.
Skip to around 4:50 in the video

Nothing wrong with that. I pay for YouTube premium. Tbh I got fed up with all the hoops on mobile so I just started paying for it and honestly, its been a good fit for me.
I watch a ton of YouTube content so paying for it to support creators and not having ads is fine with me.
I think you should first figure out why you aren’t sticking with Linux and go from there.
I just use kubuntu at this point. It works as well as works and feels how I want it to. I don’t need anything super fancy or customizable. Kubuntu hits that sweet spot for me.

Wow a great bill to stop people from making weapons. Y’all gonna ban pipes and steel ball bearings next?
The fuck is our country coming to man.

I had issues with it back in 2022 when trying a few different distros. I had 3 monitors of all the same size and I had weird visual glitches when trying to use the ui to set refresh rate or resolution.
Now though? Haven’t had any issues since i switched to Linux as my daily driver in 2024.
I’d say 90% of usage can be done without the terminal especially if you just use Linux to browse the web or check email or other things that are mundane.
Anything past that, there is a good chance you’ll have to use the terminal. That said, I think its easier than ever with lots of people making the switch and asking questions on Lemmy or other forums.

I use cloudflare for both my domains. $17 or so each.
Honestly you can spend as little as a couple bucks if you dont care about a name. I like cloudflare but almost any registrar is fine as long as you pay for the domain.
I was also gonna say Okular. It does everything I need it to do and more. Digital signing when I used it recently was pretty simple.

Yup was gonna say the same thing.
They can be removed with third party tools but they shouldn’t be there in the first place.

Even if you dont like it, no harm in trying it. Worst case you find you dont wanna do it and move on to something else.
You can start with something like pico-8 or a free engine of which there are a ton: https://lexaloffle.itch.io/pico-8
Me personally, ive been trying Godot and its kinda hard to get into, but I may try something else like RPG maker or what not just to get my ideas on paper so to speak.
Fucking love KDE dude. Plasma6 is my jam.

Just one more ai tool bro just one more.
Please bro its so good you gotta use them all to make it worth it.
I personally don’t consider my skills quite good enough to be compensated for if I’m honest. And I like helping people here on Lemmy, especially for a opensource project. I can’t contribute as much but I do what I can.
So yea shoot me a DM and we can see what works.
