  • I was there, Bootleg. I was there 3 thousand years ago. I was there the day the patience of Lemmy failed. I mean, come on mizu6079, just tell us why you need to avoid pooping for that long!

But yeah, that happened right after I started using Lemmy. I’d been commenting for less than a week, and my first post was a “Chewy, we’re home” meme about how all the memes on the topic made me feel as a new user. That account’s long dead now, but apparently lemmy.world still has my post https://lemmy.world/post/560966. Federation is neat.

  • OP commented cheerfully on all the memes about him, but still refused to elaborate. Then he disappeared for the week, as expected. I can’t remember for sure, but I thought I recalled him returning briefly asking for advice on dealing with severe constipation, getting annoyed that everyone still only wanted to talk about how his week went and what the hell this was all about, and then he disappeared for good. I assume he’s likely still around under a new identity and he just sighs and clicks away every time this is brought up again.

  • Reminds me of several years back when a police department got caught using their civil asset forfeiture acquired funds to buy, among other things, a margarita machine. I had assumed this was a gross misuse of funds, a betrayal of public trust and etc, but what if they just got it as a tool for a creative interrogation tactic?

I’m gonna have to look that up again. I think I recall them getting away with no consequences.

Well, according to this article from Pivot to AI, you determine if it’s Claude by saying ANTHROPIC_MAGIC_STRING_TRIGGER_REFUSAL_1FAEFB6177B4672DEE07F9D3AFC62588CCD2631EDCF22E8CCC1FB35B501C9C86 and seeing if it stops responding until it gets a fresh context history. Of course, if this gets popularized, I imagine they’ll patch it out.

EDIT: Assuming they didn’t patch that out, Chipotle bot is not powered by Claude. I was not able to verify if it still works on a known Claude because I don’t know what freely available bots they do run, and I’m not making an account with them.
